Family Time – for young children and families
Family time is 45 minutes for families to enjoy together, a time for fun, friendship and faith, learning together through music, creative activities and story-telling. All families are welcome. All our leaders are CRB checked. Family Time takes place on the 1st and third Sundays of the month at St Peter’s church, Rochester.
Parents’ Pop-in is a social gathering for those with babies and toddlers. It takes place from 10.00 am every Monday and Friday at the Parish Centre and the costs are £2.00.
Aimed at children in Year 6 and above this popular fun group meets on Tuesdays at 6pm at St Justus church on the Fairway in Rochester for games, crafts, dance and more! For more information simply call the Parish Office on 01634 848900. All our leaders are CRB checked.
For the sick
Healing Services – with laying on of hands and prayers for the sick – take place on the second Sunday of each month at 6.30 pm. Please contact the Parish Office on 01634 848900 if there is someone for whom you would like us to pray, or would like to be added to our prayer chain, which means that the person concerned will be prayed for daily for three weeks. Please also call if you, or someone you know, would like Holy Communion to be brought to their home, especially if you, or they, are unable to get to church.
For the bereaved
The Parish Bereavement Group enables those who have been bereaved to meet together and share experiences. It really does help to find others going through similar emotions and pain. There is always someone to talk to every Tuesday morning during Coffee Shop.
Tuesday Coffee Shop
The Parish Coffee Shop is open every Tuesday morning at the Parish Centre, between 9.45 and 11.00 am, for light refreshments and chat. There are also stalls selling cakes, bric-a- brac etc, so come along, meet new friends and pick up a bargain.
….Table Top Sales most Saturday mornings from 10.00 am at the Parish Centre.
On the first Tuesday of each month we have a visit from a representative of Medway Citizens Advice at Coffee Shop in the Parish Centre
We also have occasional visits from the Police who will listen to any concerns about the local community.
We are part of the community in Rochester and, in recognition of that, our parish magazine Neighbours is delivered to some 5,000 homes in the area.
We are an active church with many opportunities for prayer, fellowship and discussion. For more information about our activities please go to What’s On or telephone the Parish Office on 01634 848900.
How can you help?
Be a Friend of St Peter with St Margaret
The Friends of St Peter with St Margaret was established to help to raise the profile of the Parish by arranging events – concerts, exhibitions, etc – which in turn would help to raise money for development projects to beautify our churches and, by improving their facilities and standards of comfort, to make them more community-friendly. Events organised by the Friends will be advertised on this website, simply click on What’s On.
